Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions

About the product

What actually is it?
A small cordless pad, roughly the size of a coaster, that sticks to the back of your neck or the top of your shoulder. It combines steady warmth with gentle electrical muscle stimulation to help tight muscles relax.

Does it hurt?
It shouldn't. On low settings it's a light tickle; turned up it feels like firm tapping. Sharp, stinging, or burning means the intensity is too high — turn it down. Always start low.

How long before I notice anything?
The sensation is immediate. Whether your muscles feel looser afterwards varies from person to person. Some people notice after one session; others use it daily for a week or two. Some people don't get on with it at all — that's what the 30-day return window is for.

How often can I use it?
Two or three 15-minute sessions a day is typical. Give your skin a break between sessions, and don't sleep in it.

Is it complicated?
Three buttons: power, mode, and up-down. That's the whole thing.

How is it charged?
USB-C, about two hours from flat, roughly ten sessions per charge.

Can I wear it under clothes?
Yes. It sits flat under a jumper or a collared shirt, and it's quiet.

Do the gel pads wear out?
Eventually. Rinse the pad under cool water weekly and let it air dry, and one typically lasts a few months of regular use.

Safety

Who should not use this?
Do not use it if you have a pacemaker, an implanted defibrillator, or any other implanted electronic device; if you are pregnant or might be; if you have epilepsy or a seizure disorder; if you have a heart rhythm condition or are under a cardiologist's care; if you have cancer or an undiagnosed lump or skin change; or on broken, irritated, numb, or recently operated-on skin.

Where must I not place it?
Never on the front or sides of your throat — stimulation over the carotid area can affect heart rhythm and breathing. Never across your chest or over your heart. Back of the neck and shoulders only.

I take blood pressure medication. Is that a problem?
Please ask your doctor or pharmacist before using it. It takes one phone call and it's worth making.

When should I see a doctor instead?
If your neck pain followed an injury or a fall; if it runs down your arm or comes with numbness, pins and needles, or weakness; if it comes with headache, fever, dizziness, or a stiff neck you can't turn; or if it's been getting steadily worse. This is a comfort device, not a treatment.
